And opportunity for students and career-changers.
Impact Days is tremendously helped every year by 6 – 8 volunteers who exchange a few hours of worktime for a greatly reduced conference ticket.
Volunteers are usually university or grad students, or young career changers who are investigating the Impact field. Work hours can be filled in the week or weekend before the event, or can be filled during the conference itself. In both cases, we do our best to make sure you are also attending the sessions of most interest to you.
Volunteers who work 8 hours receive a 75% reduced conference rate; volunteers who work 12 hours can attend the Conference and Deals Day at no cost. (*Note: we expect the Opening Dinner to be completely sold-out; it is unlikely volunteers will sit for dinner.)
These are the kind of activities Impact Days volunteers can expect:
- Preconference help with badges and program book
- Help with set-up and breakdown of conference area.
- Welcome guests.
- Assist with registration and hand-outs.
- Help speakers load their PPTs; be the AV assistant for roving microphone.
Familiarity with powerpoint, projectors and other technical equipment is a big plus.
